Wildly African is a job creation project started by Youth in Action, the HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention program of Themblethu Home Based Care in Nkomazi, Mpumalanga.
The purpose of the Wildly African Company is to engage the youth in developing Small Micro-Medium Enterprises (SMME). This will create life changing opportunities for the youth and empower the local community to become self-sufficient.
The goal of Wildly African is to encourage and support the youth to develop skills by organizing training and networking with organizations to assist with the marketing of Wildly African products. The vision is to establish a viable business targeting both the tourist and the South African markets with a unique product range developed by the local youth.
The aim of Wildly African is to uplift the socio-economic status of the community which at present has no industry other than sugarcane and subsistence farming. This is to be done by demonstrating that given the opportunity the local youth are capable of competing in a broader market place.
